SAUDIA CITY
Saudia City is a Mixed-Use Development on multiple parcels along King Abdulaziz Road in Jeddah. The Retail & Hospitality Zone is on the southwest corner of the development bordered by King Abdulaziz and Al-Khalidiya Roads. The site is 76,335 m2 with an F.A.R. of 4.2. There is a 7-story height limit on the site and the building footprint cannot exceed 60% of the site area.The program for the Retail & Hospitality Zone includes approximately 40,000 m2 GLA/60,000 m2 BUA of Retail/F&B/Entertainment and a 175-key hotel/serviced apartment complex of approximately 20,000 m2 BUA. Parking primarily on grade.
According to the brief, the Retail & Hospitality Zone revolves around the region’s typologies as well as the duality between sustainability and regenerative aspects in a forward-thinking contemporary- architectural vocabulary: including, special features details, visual concept characteristics and standards that establish a ‘stand-out’ Initial concept.’
