OCT WATERFRONT PARK

The OCT Waterfront Park development in Wuhan, China is an eco-friendly, sustainable landscape in which subtle, but substantive commercial uses are embedded without distracting from the rich ecology throughout. Across the linearly organic site are a series of plazas and event areas around which uses such as museums, art galleries, indoor/outdoor theaters, touristic shops, and restaurants/cafes are interspersed. A heavy emphasis is place on undulating pedestrian paths throughout, stitching the extensive waterfront components together with the ease of flow for walkers and human-powered vehicles.
